Upward Sizzle Reel
The goal of this project was to create an engaging B2B promotional reel for Upward, to showcase the platform to potential partners and brands excited to collaborate. I began by gathering assets and data from the app that highlighted key metrics; such as downloads, swipes, and denomination. I also pulled together assets from celebrity endorsements, collaborations, events, and success stories of couples who found love through the app.
Next, I outlined a timeline dividing the reel into sections focused on different aspects to tell a story about the brand. I created visual storyboards in Figma to map out scenes and plan animations for a cohesive narrative. I curated a soundtrack that complemented the pacing and tone, enhancing the overall impact.
Once the structure and soundtrack were set, I animated and built motion graphics and infographics in After Effects to bring the story to life. The final product effectively highlighted Upward's achievements, helped secure new partnerships, strengthened existing collaborations, and added value to the company's portfolio.
Yuzu Sizzle Reel
I created a B2B sizzle reel showcased to internal and external partners to energize them about the brand. The goal was to introduce Yuzu, the first social and dating app for the Asian Gen Z community, designed to foster connection and community.
I started by researching the target demographic and defining the brand tone, then curated stock videos that aligned with the brand identity. Working closely with the product team, I integrated app screens into the video to demonstrate how users can make new friendships or romantic connections. Using Figma, I outlined the story structure, and curated a soundtrack to match the tone and energetic vibe.
In After Effects, I animated titles, transitions, and overlayed product screens on videos, creating a dynamic intro to capture attention. The final video helped secure new partnerships and collaborations, and within the first month, the app achieved approximately 150,000 downloads, supplemented by social media campaigns to build a waitlist.
Match Talks App Demo
I led the rebranding of 16 feature videos for the Match app, aimed at enhancing user experience through educational content such as profile do's and don'ts, dating tips, and advice. The project was executed over a three-month period, synchronized with CRM email broadcasts to maximize engagement. My approach was to first provide brand guidelines and strategic direction to a team of designers, guiding them on color schemes, typography, and imagery to ensure consistency across all videos. I utilized After Effects by creating engaging text animations, smooth video transitions, and integrated screen recordings from the app to demonstrate key features. The revamped videos resulted in over a 44% increase in views and contributed to higher user satisfaction, positively impacting overall engagement with the app.
